Happy Autumn, from the Learning Center
I hope that everyone is enjoying the slightly cooler weather, and is anticipating some much needed precipitation as much as I am.
Because we are lucky enough to have a straight 8th grade Learning Center this year, we are using every opportunity to support and make sure we are giving our students the tools they need to be successful here during their last year, and into high school.
Please look for more Science and History homework as the school year progresses. During the beginning we have focused on practicing responsibility regarding class protocols, rules, and expectations. Now as we draw this initial Trimester to a close, we will be working with the students in helping them become more independent, sufficient, and promoting self avocation.
Accelerated Reading is always home work and your child should be reading roughly 30 minutes a night.
