LANGUAGE ARTS HOMEWORK
1. Students are required to check out books from the library and read each night for about 20 minutes. After a book is completed, students will test on that book. The higher the grade, the more accelerated reading points will be earned. The maximum number of points can be found on the spine of the book.
Each student is given a personal goal each trimester based on his or her reading level. the points that need to be earned range from 15 to 35. Students will be given their point goals at the beginning of each trimester.
2. During the second trimester, students will receive short reading assignments every Tuesday and Thursday. These assignments are short practice tests meant to prepare students for the state test in May.
3. During the third trimester reading homework will be given on Tuesdays only.
HISTORY HOMEWORK
1. During the first trimester, homework will be assigned on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
2. During the third trimester, homework will be assigned only on Thursdays.
